Environmental sustainability and development affairs look after the improvement of the academic and infrastructure environment, as well as help the governance of the university understand and prioritize needed tasks; moreover, motivate students to take part in creating a common future. With the participation in the Eco-Council of the university, Environmental sustainability and development affairs deal with environmental sustainability questions, making sure the University of Latvia functions as environmentally friendly as possible.
