Have you always wanted to be a part of the student council? Well, UL SC has just the thing you need! Soon we’re going to host International Students Collegium elections, where you can tell a bit more about yourself and your goals by participating in the student council, and just maybe, you will be one of the next leaders of International Student representation in the University of Latvia.

Here’s a small infographic of how this works:

By being one of the 7 UL ISC board members, you will organize events, represent international students at UL, and be a part of our community!

How can you become one of the board members?

  • When?
    • We will be hosting elections in February. The exact date will be announced on our Instagram page click here. Be sure to follow!
  • How?
    • You will have a set amount of time to present your candidature and then UL SP general assemblies members will vote about you.
  • What do we need from you?
    • In his or her candidature, the candidate shall submit the Curriculum vitae and the letter of motivation to the Board of UL SP (send it to lusp@lusp.lv) no later than one week before the announced elections, indicating their faculty, study program, and course.
  • What are the requirements to become a board member?
    • Any international student enrolled at the University of Latvia may be elected to be part of the UL ISC, on the condition that said student will be studying at UL for at least one more semester, in addition to the current semester.
  • What can you expect and what benefits will be?
    • Although being an ISC member will be fun on its own, at times you need to dedicate some of your time to organizing events or joining meetings for event planning.
    • You can expect an array of benefits when you join ISC which include some special access to some events

Here are a few files and infographics to better understand how this system works.
