Academic affairs aim to improve the study process University of Latvia (UL) and resolve related issues. This includes participation in the development of regulatory documents governing the study process at UL, involvement in UL working groups related to the improvement of studies, regular communication with relevant UL officials and departments, as well as providing support to UL students in resolving various problematic situations.

The UL Student Council’s Head of the Academic affairs assists and collaborates with the heads of the academic affairs of the faculty student councils (FSP) and also oversees and develops the course elders system. Within this sector, there are also opportunities to work on improving LUIS questionnaires, promoting science, and enhancing academic integrity policies.

One of the goals of the academic sector’s activities is to foster the development of well-rounded student personalities. To this end, seminars such as the ''Studentijas akadēmija'' and ''Akadēmiskais atspēriens'' are organized.

If you are interested in working on issues that directly or indirectly relate to the improvement of the study process, learning about the rights and responsibilities of UL students, getting to know the university's decision-making bodies and internal processes, and contributing to the development of the UL Student Council’s positions on various academic matters and focusing on higher education issues within the UL Student Council's sphere of interest, apply to help by contacting the acting Head of the Academic affairs, Adriana Mauručaite (adriana.maurucaite@lusp.lv).
