We invite students and young researchers to attend a two-day preparatory workshop on April 8 and 9, which will provide valuable advice and practical tools for participating in the 84th International Scientific Conference at the University of Latvia. During the event, participants will develop the skills needed to confidently present their research, including learning how to present posters, public speaking, and structuring scientific work.

Why participate?

The "Get Ready for the Conference!" series offers an opportunity to receive practical advice from experienced lecturers so that your research gets noticed and appreciated. It’s an environment where you can learn how to structure visual materials and how to use your voice to engage any audience.

  • April 8, 4:30–5:30 p.m. | Mārtiņš Pričins (LV) “Poster Pitch” Learn the basic principles of presenting, how to improve your public speaking skills, and what supplementary materials will best support your growth.
  • April 9, 4:30–5:30 p.m. | Tatiana Ginzburg (ENG) “How to Present Your Scientific Work?” Understand what makes for a good presentation structure, how to use visual materials correctly, and what the right vocal intonation and narrative style are.

Classes will take place at Kalpaka Boulevard 4 (3rd floor) and online.

If you want to speak confidently and gain skills that will be useful both at conferences and in your future academic journey, sign up here!

We look forward to receiving your application and seeing you at the masterclasses!
